Communication Channels

A Communication Channel is the connection between Orderful and your internal system. Each Communication Channel can be Inbound, meaning you are receiving EDI data from Orderful, or Outbound, meaning you are sending EDI data to Orderful.

Web EDI Users

If you are a Web EDI user, you will not need to set up an Inbound Communication Channel. Your Relationships will be set to "Keep in Orderful".

The available types of Inbound Communication Channels are:

• Inbound HTTP
• Inbound Poller
• Inbound AS2
• Inbound FTP and SFTP
• Inbound VAN

The available types of Outbound Communication Channels are:

• Outbound HTTP
• Outbound AS2
• Outbound FTP and SFTP
• Outbound VAN

Retrieving your Channel information

If you need your existing Channel information to input into your system or to share with a trading partner:

1. Sign in to your Orderful account:

2. From the left navigation menu, click on Communication Channels.
3. Find the Channel you need and click on it.
   This will open up a pane on the right side of the page.
4. Things like certificates can be downloaded by clicking on them, and some values can be copied by clicking the copy icon found beside them.
