Answer a Task Form
Provide the information Orderful needs by filling in a form inside the task, including saved drafts, teammate edits, login credentials, and what happens after you submit.
When Orderful needs information from you, such as warehouse locations, carriers, a GS1 company prefix, or a first test shipment date, the task contains a form. You answer it right in the task instead of replying to an email.
Fill in and submit a form
- From Onboarding Tasks, open a task that has a form.
- Answer the questions. Required questions are marked with an asterisk (*).
- Where a question offers Something else, enter your answer in the box that appears.
- Some questions let you pick more than one option.
- Click Submit.
After you submit, the task's status changes to Submitted. The form shows a confirmation with the date you sent your answers and keeps displaying exactly what you sent. Orderful closes the task once it has processed your answers.
Tasks that have a form don't show Mark Complete. Submitting the form is how you complete them. Some forms are made up of steps instead. Those show Mark Complete rather than Submit.
Your answers are saved as you go
You don't have to finish in one sitting. Your answers are saved as a draft after a short pause in typing and when you close the drawer, so you can come back later and pick up where you left off.
Working with teammates
More than one person in your organization can work on the same form:
- A save only sends the answers you changed, so it never overwrites a teammate's newer answer.
- When a teammate's answers arrive while you have the form open, the form shows them. Submit stays unavailable until you've seen the changes.
Login and credential questions
Some forms ask for a login, such as a portal username and password. These fields read from and write to a set in your Credential Vault right in the form, so the secret is stored in the vault instead of in the task. If a credential can only be filled in from the Credential Vault, the form links you there.
To answer credential questions, you need access to the Credential Vault. Without it, credential fields are hidden and can't be answered.
Read-only access
Users with read-only access can open a task and see its form and answers, but they can't edit or submit it.
