Manage Auto Send
Auto Send controls whether Orderful sends Transactions for a Relationship automatically, or holds them until you manually send them.
Every Relationship has two independent Auto Send settings: one for the test stream and one for the live stream. You can auto send Transactions for one stream but not for the other.
What Auto Send controls
What Auto Send does depends on the direction of the Relationship:
- Outbound Relationship: Transactions you create are sent to your Trading Partner automatically.
- Inbound Relationship: Transactions you receive are delivered to your Communication Channel automatically. Auto Send also governs whether an incoming Transaction is forwarded automatically — see Transaction forwarding.
When Auto Send is off for a stream, Transactions on that stream stay in the Pending delivery status until you send them manually. Transactions on the other stream are unaffected.
View Auto Send settings
- From the left navigation menu, click on Relationships.
- Look at the Auto Send column. Each Relationship shows a Test chip and a Live chip. A highlighted chip means Auto Send is on for that stream; a dimmed chip means it is off.
Update Auto Send setting
- On the Relationships page, click the Relationship you want to change to open its side panel.
- Find the Auto Send section.
- Turn Live Transactions and Test Transactions on or off. Each toggle affects only its own stream.
- Click Save.
Setting a default for new Relationships
Each EDI Account has an Auto Send Transactions setting that is applied to new Relationships created under that account. It is a single setting: it sets both the test and live streams of a new Relationship to the same value.
It does not change Relationships that already exist, and it cannot set the two streams differently. To have the streams differ, change them on the individual Relationship.
