Grant Orderful Access
How to Grant Orderful Access to Your NetSuite Account
To enable Orderful to support your integration, we'll need access to your NetSuite environment.
Self-Serve Access (Recommended)
Starting with SuiteApp version 1.23.0, you can grant this access yourself in about a minute — no shared login to create, and no credentials to send over email.
- Inside NetSuite, open the Orderful Setup dashboard for the SuiteApp.
- Under Connect, confirm your API Key has already been added and verified.
- Select Allow Orderful Access, then click the Allow Orderful Access button.
- A NetSuite consent window opens. Review the requested access and approve it.
- The window closes automatically once Orderful finishes installing its credentials — this takes just a few seconds. The page will show a Connected confirmation.
That's it. Orderful now has the access it needs to support your integration, and you can return to this page any time if you ever need to refresh access.
What's actually happeningApproving access lets Orderful exchange a short-lived NetSuite authorization for its own set of credentials, which it installs automatically. Orderful never sees or stores your NetSuite login, and no one on your team needs to share a password.
Manual Setup (Legacy)
If your SuiteApp version doesn't yet include the Allow Orderful Access option, use this manual process instead. We ask that you create a single shared "Orderful Access" user in your NetSuite account. This allows our team to assist with integration setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. If you have both sandbox and production environments, please use the same user credentials for both.
Step 1: Locate Your NetSuite Account ID
You'll need your NetSuite account ID to create the access user.
- Log in to NetSuite
- Look at the URL in your browser—the account ID appears in the address (e.g.,
5377558) - Note this ID for the next step
Step 2: Create the Orderful Access User
In your NetSuite environment (we recommend starting with sandbox if available):
- Navigate to Lists → Employees → Employees → New
- Enter the following details:
- First Name:
Orderful - Last Name:
Access - Subsidiary: Select your top-level subsidiary (if required)
- Default Currency: As required by your account
- First Name:
- Check the Give Access box
- Under Roles, add:
Administrator - For Email, use this format:
[email protected]- Example:
[email protected]
- Check the "Send Access Notification Email" Checkbox
Step 3: Share Credentials with Orderful
Once you've created the user, securely share the following with your Orderful contact:
- NetSuite login URL
- Username (the email address you created)
- Temporary Password (if created)
- Account ID
